Walgreen’s & United plans
Well, I finally got around to planning my trips. United isn’t much this week, as far as my coupons & their sales match up anyway. Walgreen’s on the other hand, I’m gonna have to make a couple transactions each day for 2-3 days at least. They seriously have that much stuff this week on sale that is free or almost free. I’ll do United first, then Walgreen’s since it will be so extensive.
United only really has 3 things on sale that line up with my coupons this week, one of which I’m not 100% sure on. They have Imperial Sugar 2/$3, Post cereals (selected varieties) 2/$4, & Wheat Thins 2/$4. If all goes well, I’m planning on:
- 4 Imperial Sugar - $1.50-.30 c/o = $1.20 for 4 lbs sugar, or 30 cents a pound.
- 5 boxes Post cereal - $2-.50 c/o = $1.50 box OR $2-.55 c/o = $1.45 box OR $2-1.00 c/o = $1.00 box
- 2 Wheat Thins Artisan Cheese crackers if they are on sale - BOGO c/o making them 2/$2
I also have a couple other coupons that I’m going to look at while at United, don’t know how much they are yet, so I don’t know if they are a good deal.
Now Walgreen’s… They have 7 different things that I want, all either have a mail in rebate or produce RR. They are Armour Vienna Sausages, Betty Crocker Brownie Mix, Cake Mix, & Frosting, Oust Spray, Glade Lasting Impressions, & Colgate Total Toothpaste. My plan is 2 transactions today.
- 2 Oust sprays - $2.99-2 c/o = $0.99 - $1 MIR = Better than Free!
- 1 Colgate Total Toothpaste - $3.49 - $.75 c/o = $2.74 - 3.49RR = Better than Free!
- Total paid for this transaction will be $4.72 + tax, I haven’t quite figured out how Texas does tax yet.
The 2nd transaction will be a little more extensive
- 5 Armour Vienna Sausages - $0.49 each
- 2 Betty Crocker Brownie Mix - $3.00-1.00 c/o = $2 - $1RR = $1 for 2 brownie mixes
- 2 Oust sprays - $2.99-2 c/o = $0.99 - $1 MIR = Better than Free!
- Grand total will be $6.43, then I’ll use the RR from the first transaction bringing it down to $2.94 + tax.
If I add in the MIR’s, I’ll actually be getting paid to shop at Walgreen’s today. I’ll have the Walgreen’s rebate on the Oust sprays plus there was a MIR in Sunday’s inserts “Buy 5 participating products, get $5 back” & Armour Vienna sausages are on the list. Pretty sweet deal, don’t ya think?
